Home Ministry seeks cooperation from all

The Ministry of Home Affairs has appealed to all concerned to cooperate and help the government bide by this trying time caused by the second wave of the coronavirus. It has mentioned that besides the efforts made by the government to stop the spread of COVID-19, which has been increasing at quite an alarming pace, it is necessary for all concerned people and authorities to cooperate and extend needed help to the government.

The Home Ministry has urged the people to adopt all health safety protocols issued by the government and to mandatory follow the rules of the prohibitory order issued by the chief district officers of the respective districts.

As per a decision taken by the government on April 26, the chief district officers have issued a prohibitory order lasting 15 days starting today in the three districts of Kathmandu and in Tarai districts where the number of people infected with the coronavirus has crossed 500 and in districts in the Hilly region where the infection rate has crossed 200. During the duration of the prohibitory order only those shops selling essential goods are allowed to open for certain hours. Similarly, vehicular movement has also been curtailed except for those delivering essential goods or services.

The ministry has also appealed to all to stay at home during this period and go out of their homes only if the situation is very serious.
