Nepal has handed over humanitarian assistance of over 22 tonnes to Pakistan to help it meet the challenges posed by the recent natural disaster.
The relief material was handed over to Sindh Provincial Social Welfare Minister Sajid Jokhio of Pakistan by Joint Secretary Sewa Lamsal in Karachi today as a token of solidarity, says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The team that came with the relief materials handed over the relief materials to Minister Jokhio at a program held earlier today at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. The materials included essential medicines, food, and clothes. The Nepali delegation led by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lamsal arrived here today with aid materials.
The humanitarian assistance was airlifted to Karachi, Pakistan on a flight of Nepal Airlines Corporation.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka bade farewell to the team at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. The delegation is scheduled to return back home this evening.
