It has been demanded to provide relief to disaster victims of Karnali Province immediately.
A team led by former Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of Karnali Province, Naresh Bhandari, met with Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand at the Home Ministry on Wednesday and demanded this.
The team also requested Home Minister Khand to conduct onsite monitoring of crop, arable land, and livestock damaged by natural disaster at different districts including Jumla, Kalikot, Mugu, Humla and Dolpa as well as human casualties.
Similarly, drawing the attention of the government towards difficulties facing by the people as road, bridge, dam, school building, hydropower projects, drinking water project and telephone towers have suffered huge damages due to natural disaster, the team also submitted its memo to Minister for Energy, Irrigation and Water Resources, Pampha Bhusal.
On the occasion, former Minister Bhandari demanded to launch 'Private Housing Insurance Programme of all Karnali Folks' as well as 'Tila, Hima and Jawa River Management Project' the long-term disaster management of Karnali Province and to allocate necessary budget for the same.
