Deliberations on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill (except tax) for the fiscal year 2022-23 is to be discussed in today's meeting of the House of Representatives.
On the occasion, CPN (UML) lawmaker Bhim Bahadur Rawal objected over not taking initiatives to improve country's economy.
Leader Rawal demanded to increase employment in the country and make arrangements to not hire foreign workers. He said attention has not been paid on agro products and its productivity.
He further suggested that the country itself should construct large hydropower projects like Upper Karnali and West Seti Hydropower projects, adding, "The government should pay special attention to maintain good governance."
Similarly, Bishal Bhattarai of the same party objected over absence of Finance Minister Janardan Sharma in the discussion of principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill.
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota in response ruled for the presence of the concerned minister.
He directed other ministers present in the House to take notes until the Finance Minister arrives.
