It has been discovered that some government documents possessed by Jwala Sangraula and her husband who are in police remand at the moment are fake. The police have said that the couple had forged some government documents.
SSP Ashok Singh, chief of Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range, said that Sangraula’s birth certificate had been forged along with a relationship certificate and a divorce settlement paper.
The birth certificate issued to Sangraula by Shailung Rural Municipality of Panchthar district is a forged document, according to SSP Singh.
The police investigation also discovered that the relationship certificate that Sangraula possesses with her spouse Himal Upadhyay is also a forged document. It has been revealed that Mangalsen Municipality in Accham has never issued the couple a relationship certificate.
Sangraula and her husband had been arrested by the police on the charge of physical assault and indecent behaviour on June 20. At present, they are in police custody while the investigation into the case is underway, police informed.
