The Kaligandaki corridor has been obstructed due to landslides triggered by incessant rain.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta-East) Bed Bahadur Poudel informed the Kaligandaki corridor was completely halted due to landslides in the Nawalpur section of the corridor.
Due to a landslide in Bulingtar rural municipality-1, Raatbise, the Kaligandaki corridor has been completely disrupted since last night.
He said it was difficult to immediately clear the debris and resume transport operation because of incessant rain.
Through this section, vehicles are operated from Gaindakot to Bulingtar and Baudikali of Nawalpur, Rampur of Palpa, Tanahun, Pokhara and Syngja among others.
DSP Poudel further said vehicular operation has become difficult as the incessant rain has caused damages to the rural roads of mountainous region of the district.
Likewise, the Maldhunga-Beni road along the national highway linking Myagdi and Mustang with the national network has been obstructed.
