The government has given permission to the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security to sign bilateral labour agreements with European countries—Germany and Romania.
A Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday took the decision to grant permission for signing labour agreement with these two countries and assigned a delegation led by Labour Minister Saratsingh Bhandari to participate in the programme in this regard, said Spokesperson of the government and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma.
Similarly, the government also permitted to hold bilateral talks on air service agreement between Nepal and Switzerland as well as Nepal and Rwanda. It also decided to establish bilateral consultation mechanism between foreign affairs ministries of Nepal and Malaysia.
The Cabinet meeting also granted permission to the delegation led by Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat to participate in the high-level investment summit to be organised at Mansion House in London. It scrapped the National Sports Talent Award Work Procedure, 2068, and approved Special Court Regulations, 2080.
Also permitted by the government is to table the bill designed to make arrangement regarding Martyr Dasharath Chand University of Health Sciences and bill relating to management and regulation of construction materials.
Similarly, the meeting decided to restructure the organizational structure and posts at the District Coordination Committee. Decision was made to approve a total of 172 temporary officer level posts under the Ministry of Health and Population.
Likewise, as per the Cabinet decision, Deputy Attorney General of public prosecutor group, gazette first class, Lokraj Parajuli, has been promoted and deputed at the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.
The Judicial Service Commission had recommended Parajuli for the same, added Minister Sharma.
The meeting also decided to accept a concessional loan over Rs 13 billion (as per the foreign currency exchange rate on Wednesday) and grant assistance amounting to USD 3.84 million from the World Bank for the implementation of the quality health service of Nepal, according to the Minister.
Furthermore, the meeting decided to approve grant assistance worth Swiss Franc 5.45 million pledged by the government of Switzerland for implementation of innovation related projects in Nepal.
