Labour Minister Shrestha insists on protection of workers’ rights

Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Development, Krishna Kumar Shrestha, said the government had already started working on a plan capable of creating sufficient jobs at home.

In his address to a programme organised today by the Publicity Department of CPN (Unified Socialist) at Kalaiya of Bara, the Minister said the government aimed to establish a well-equipped hospital for workers by keeping Bara and Parsa in the centre.

The Minister stressed the need of bringing substantive plans and policies to protect and promote the rights of workers and to improve their living standards. The Minister took time to share that he was hopeful that the existing alliance among five political parties would continue till the election.

Department Chief Ramesh Subedi presided over the programme.
