Nepal Police have been provided five more days to carry out investigation on the convicts of Lalita Niwas land grab scam.
All 22 convicts were presented at the Kathmandu District Court on Wednesday.
The Kathmandu District Court permitted the police to keep all 22 arrestees in police custody for further investigations, said Senior Superintendent of Police at the Crime Investigation Bureau, Dinesh Acharya.
Recording statements of the arrestees by CIB is still on. Nepal Police have been carrying out investigations into the case for the past one month.
A total of 22 people, including former election commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah, owner of Bhatbhateni Super Market, Min Bahadur Gurung, former government employee, Dharma Prasad Gautam were apprehended on the charge of their involvement in Lalita Niwas land grab scam. --
