Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said Lalitpur city bears a glorious history.
Addressing the 104th anniversary function of the Lalitpur Metropolitan City here today, PM Deuba reminded that present Lalitpur Metropolitan City developed out of the 'Chemdol Adda' established on Poush 2, 1975 BS for the sanitation of the city which is rich in unrivaled art works."
He further said Lalitpur is an old city with a unique identity. It has moved ahead in a planned manner to ease people's life and speed up development. On the occasion of the 104th establishment day of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, PM Deuba congratulated all the city dwellers and their representatives. He urged them to retain the religious, cultural and historical value of Lalitpur.
On a different note, Deuba said local level government is the foundational and close government to the people. So, it should work accountability and transparently, he underscored.
