The Parbat-Baglung road section along the Mid-Hill Highway has remained obstructed for the last three days. Landslides occurred at Kushma municipality-8, Sundarekhola, Chuwabhir, and ward no. 2, Nayapul disrupted the road traffic.

Parbat Traffic Police Chief Krishna Khadka informed that it is likely to take a couple of days to resume the vehicular movement along the road section by removing the debris in Nayapul.

Efforts are however underway to re-open the road at the earliest, he shared. With the traffic disruption, travel and transport connectivity have snapped with Parbat, Baglung, Myagdi, and Mustang.

Vehicles heading to different destinations have been stranded in Sahasradhara and Kushma Bazaar of Parbat.

Likewise, the Beni-Maldhunga road section linking Myagdi and Mustang districts with the national highway has also not come into the operation. Landslides occurred at Aniyaghat and Jyamire of Jaljala rural municipality of Parbat obstructed the road. Police shared efforts are going on to resume the disrupted traffic movement on the road stretch.
