A nine-year-old girl died in a leopard attack in Bandipur Rural Municipality in Tanahu district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Sukriti Thapa Magar of Bahune Bhangyanj of Bandipur-5 in Tanahu district, according to Bandipur Rural Municipality chairperson Purna Singh Thapa.

The body of the minor girl was found in a nearby forest. Locals here have been terrorised by the Leopard and other wild animals since Bandipur and its surroundings have verdant forests.
