President Paudel, who reached the Ramidanda of Barakote in Jajarkot, the epicenter of the earthquake, today to understand the condition of the earthquake victims, President Paudel made this request in a discussion with the earthquake victims, people's representatives and locals there. He said, "You should not think that there is no one in the current situation, you should think that our government is there."
Mentioning the need to work on a war footing during a disaster, he also suggested the people's representatives keep accurate statistics about the damage and condition of the earthquake and be aware that the victims should not be cheated.
President Paudel said, "Let's all deal with the disaster together, democracy is with you."
President Paudel said that now is not the era of King Maharaja, it is the time of a federal democratic republic, when the people suffer, the government should be with the people and the government should always strive to do the necessary things for the earthquake victims.
He urged them to start thinking about building a permanent house by identifying a suitable place in the long term so that there will be no problem in winter and rainy seasons until the tents and permanent houses are built.
Bir Bahadur Giri, Chairman of Barekot Village, informed that out of 4300 households, 240 were completely destroyed, 1 thousand 891 were at high risk and 1000 families were displaced. Chairman Giri said that there is a big challenge to make safe housing and daily life easy.
Understanding the situation of the earthquake victims, President Paudel, who reached the Jajarkot headquarters Khalanga on Tuesday morning, met the injured who were being treated at the district hospital and held discussions with the earthquake victims, local people's representatives, and the general public. He also inspected the houses damaged by the earthquake. After that, he reached the Ramidanda area of Jajarkot, which was the epicenter of this earthquake, informed Kiran Pokharel, the press adviser of President Paudel.
