The District Administration Office of Makwanpur has issued instructions to hand over arms by mid-April.
The district administration office has issued a public notice to hand over all licensed weapons to the nearest police post.
Chief District Officer of Makwanpur Bharatmani Pandey informed that the order has been issued as per the instructions of the Home Ministry. In order to make the local level election free and fair and to maintain peace and security, the local administration has requested all to hand over the licensed weapons in the district to the nearest police post by April 12.
According to the information received from the meeting of the Central Security Committee chaired by the Home Minister, it will be returned after the election. The government has announced the date of local elections on April 12.
