Police in Palpa district arrested a man on a charge of raping a 60-year-old woman from Maskot in Rampur Municipality-1 on Monday afternoon.
The accused has been identified as Narayan Malla (35), a local resident of the same municipality in the district.
Malla allegedly raped the woman on Friday evening. Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Palpa-based District Police Office nabbed him.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, said the police.
