Man dies from altitude sickness in Panchthar

One person has died of altitude sickness in Panchthar. The deceased has been identified as Bishal Magar, 31, of Phalelung-5, Tunibot, Panchthar.

He had been going to Chauri Goth near India's border with his brother Bikram Magar at 12:30 pm yesterday. Due to heavy snowfall just 15 km away, it became impossible to reach Chauri Goth and he fainted while returning home. According to the District Police Office, Panchthar, he died on the same spot this morning.

A team from Prangbung Police Station reached the spot after receiving information about the incident, said Dambar Bishwakarma, Information Officer at District Police Office, Panchthar.
