A man was found dead at a canal near Mansingh Chowk in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-17 of Chitwan district today.
Police have yet to establish the identity of the deceased.
The deceased who appeared to be in his early 30s has sustained bullet injuries in the head.
During the investigation, police recovered a bullet shell from the incident site, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Om Prasad Adhikari at Chitwan District Police Office.
Meanwhile, investigation into the incident is underway, SP Adhikari said.
