Kanchanpur police arrested a man on charge of raping a four-year-old minor girl in Bhimdatta Municipality-16. The arrested has been identified as Karan Singh (50) of Parkhedi in the municipality.
Singh allegedly raped the minor in his home after drinking alcohol. Acting on a tip-off, a joint team deputed from the Kanchanpur District Police Office (DPO) and Majhgaun-based Temporary Police Post apprehended Singh on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is being carried out, informed DPO.
