United Nations Under-Secretary General for Peace Operations, Jean Pierre Lacroix, and Inspector General of Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar had a courtesy meeting at the Nepal Police Headquarters on Wednesday.
On the meeting, Deputy Secretary General Lacroix highly praised the contribution of the Nepal Police personnel who were deployed in various countries to establish peace at the request of the United Nations.
Inspector General of Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar said that the Nepal Police has been contributing to the establishment of peace by protecting and promoting human rights and remaining committed to the United Nations Constitution.
On the meeting, they discussed increasing the participation of Nepal Police in various peacekeeping missions at the request of the United Nations, Nepal Police's contribution to the United Nations and mutual interests
