A meeting and discussion meeting between the Nepali Ambassador to Israel, Kanta Rizal, and senior officials of Israel's Population and Immigration Authority (PIBA) has been completed.
Ambassador Kanta Rizal, PIBA's Director of Foreign Worker Service Administration Adv. Inbal Mashash, Manager of State Relations Ms. Mary Amsheli, Senior Advisor to the Embassy and Chairman of Israel - Nepal Friendship Association Nadav Ben Yehuda participated in the meeting and there was an important discussion on Nepal - Israel labour relations.
In the meeting, a detailed discussion was held especially regarding the solution to the problem of visa renewal of the Nepalese auxiliary workers who went to Israel through the government agreement recently.
Also, there was a discussion about bringing Nepali workers in the agricultural sector and other issues.
Out of the Nepalese auxiliary workers who went to Israel through the government agreement, more than 700 visas have been renewed and about 300 workers whose visas are yet to be renewed were brought to the attention of PIBA officials. In the meeting, PIBA officials took this matter seriously and assured that necessary steps will be taken in this matter immediately.
PIBA officials have also given assurances to the workers pending visa renewal that there will be no problems in Israel.
