President Ramchandra Paudel has asked Qatar for cooperation on issues of common interest such as protecting the earth from climate change, protecting mountains, saving water resources and maintaining environmental balance.
He said this on the occasion of a bilateral meeting with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar, who arrived Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon on a two-day state visit to Nepal on the friendly invitation of President Paudel, at Rashtrapati Bhawan Sheetal Niwas.
"The common problem of today's world is how to protect our earth from climate change, how to protect our mountains, how to save water resources and how to maintain the balance of the environment. It is necessary for everyone to cooperate, it is a matter of human existence, especially developed countries in this matter. According to him, President Paudel had also told that the atmosphere of conflict in the Middle East worried us. President Poudel wished for the end of the war and the restoration of peace in the region and praised the role that Qatar is playing in establishing peace.
Likewise, the Emir of Qatar said that the world is in trouble due to the effects of climate change and if everyone follows the agreements related to its mitigation, good results will be achieved and a pleasant environment will be prepared for everyone. The Emir of Qatar expressed his belief that this visit will be fruitful for identifying more areas of cooperation by establishing better relations with Nepal. The Amir expressed gratitude for the great contribution of Nepalis in the development of Qatar.
He expressed his belief that the agreement and agreement to be reached between the two countries on Wednesday can increase new possibilities of investment in areas such as water resources, agriculture and tourism in Nepal.
Likewise, President Paudel said that Nepal and Qatar have always had harmonious relations and clarified that our relations are based on friendship, mutual respect, trust and harmony.
Mentioning that there is a tradition of exchanging high-level visits between the two countries on a regular basis and this has played an important role in the expansion of bilateral relations, President Paudel said that this historic visit has taken the relationship between Nepal and Qatar to a new height.
President Paudel mentioned that with the issues of political transformation settled, Nepal has now moved forward in the journey of economic development and prosperity and also expressed the belief that Qatar's support will continue in Nepal's efforts to achieve development and prosperity.
President Paudel expressed his belief that there is a good possibility of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, tourism and investment, and that our cooperation and cooperation in these fields will intensify in the future.
He reminded that Qatar remains a major and attractive destination for foreign employment for Nepali workers and that Nepali workers have also contributed significantly to the development of modern Qatar.
