The 12th meeting of the eighth session of the National Assembly of Karnali Province was again obstructed today. The meeting, which already had been halted four times since June 15, was obstructed again as soon as the session started today by the CPN UML lawmakers.

Chief whip of CPN UML in Karnali assembly, Gulab Jung Shah, stated it had already been 10 days since the budget for next fiscal year was announced but the government had not taken the role of the assembly seriously. He alleged that the chief minister was instead spreading rumours that the session had been obstructed due to the internal feud within CPN UML.

He also mentioned that the government had not heeded their political concerns. Shah also said the government had not allocated the budget as per need but to gratify party members.
