MFD forecasts rain for three days

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast rain in most of the places of the country in the next three days due to the influence of the monsoon wind.

Light to moderate rain will take place in most places while a few places of Sudurpaschim Province will witness torrential rain as the low pressure system is seen gradually advancing closer to the Tarai region of Nepal, according to Meteorologist Ganga Nagarkoti.

Moreover, there is the possibility of heavy rain at some places of Province 1, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces on Tuesday night. Torrential rain is predicted at one or two places of Province 1 and Bagmati province.

On Wednesday, light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at many places throughout the country, and heavy and very heavy rainfall at some places. The Meteorological Forecasting Division ( MFD) has urged for precaution in view of this.

Meanwhile, the weather is generally to fully cloudy throughout the country with chances of light to moderate rainfall at some places of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and a few places of the rest of the provinces.

As per the weather update shared by the MFD, Kathmandu Valley has recorded a minimum temperature of 22.0 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 31.5 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.

Similarly, Jumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 17.5 degrees Celsius while Dhangadhi recorded the highest temperature of 34.2 degrees Celsius.
