Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has accused main opposition CPN (UML) of obstructing the parliament by picking unnecessary issues.
It is not logical under any circumstances to obstruct the parliament, a platform of people’s representatives, he said speaking at a press conference organised here today in Janakpurdham by the Nepali Congress, Madhes Province.
No one has the right to immobilise the parliament that represents voices of people although the main opposition party has the right to show the guideline to the government, and protest for the sake of constructive work, he said.
As a result, many bills prepared to present in the parliament have been stuck and talks on many important issues and making laws have not taken place, mentioned FM Mahat.
He shared that it was not possible to allocate substantial budget for target geography and regions of Madhes Province due to a lack of enough economic resources and the current economic situation of the country.
“It was not possible to set aside enough budget to everyone this time. I request that people of a particular geography or region should not take it as discrimination,” viewed the Finance Minister.
