A disaster rescue has been conducted with the aim of informing about how to rescue people who have been involved in road accidents in Rukumpur. According to the annual approved program, the exercise was organized by the district administration office on the side of the road near Thanti Danda located in Cisne Rural Municipality-5.
The joint team of Nepal Army's Narsingh Dal Gana, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force Gulm conducted a rescue model exercise. Six of the Gana, two of the police and five of the police force participated in the sample exercise.
Chief District Officer Tularaj Sunuwar informed that this program was conducted as an exercise on how to mobilize the resources in the district along with rescuing those injured in the disaster. He said that the disaster preparedness team in the district will be ready.
Ganapati Babulal said that the road expansion in Rukum East is going on rapidly and due to the fact that the number of road accidents has also increased, how to rescue, and first aid has been taught. He also said that this kind of practice would send a good message to the community. An ambulance from Sisne rural municipality was used in the sample exercise.
