A team from the Ministry of Home Affairs has continued its monitoring in districts in the Karnali Province. The team comprising joint-secretary Pushparaj Shahi and under-secretary Phanindra Dahal has focused its monitoring on public transport, security, supplies, market management, and other related issues.

As joint secretary Shahi said, the monitoring was for intervening in possible irregularities in the related sector and making services more effective.

He said the team carried out observation in Mugu and also in Surkhet on Thursday.

The Ministry has launched the monitoring across the country for public convenience during the festivals and the two arrived here in the same course of action, according to Surkhet Chief District Officer Chhabilal Rijal.

During the inspection, the official team was apprised that the public was being charged arbitrarily for daily essentials on the eve of festivals and for public transport service and they had been suffering consequences of a syndicate system in public transport.
