Due to the low pressure that has developed in and around the Bay of Bengal, the monsoon has entered Nepal today in Province 1, Province 2 and Bagmati Province.
The monsoon is expected to spread across the country in a couple of days.
As per the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the monsoon will become active next week with many places in the country witnessing light to medium rainfall. Meanwhile, a few places will see heavy rainfall while a very few places may witness very heavy rainfall. The department has asked the people to be careful.
Generally, the monsoon enters Nepal around June 13 and is over around October 2.
