A woman and her son died after they were swept away by Gwar Khola, a rivulet in Dang district, on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Amrita Gharti (35) and her two-year-old son, Rudra Gharti, the residents of Simleni in Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City.
The duo were swept away while they were trying to cross the rivulet, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mukunda Prasad Rijal at Dang District Police Office.
The bodies of both the woman and her son were found two kilometres downstream, DSP Rijal informed.
