Police arrested a man on charge of murder from Ishworpur Municipality-4 in Sarlahi district on Tuesday night.
The arrested has been identified as Pal Dorje Syangtan (58), while the deceased has been revealed as Krishna Bahadur Syangbo (35), both local residents of Sagarnath in the same municipality.
Syangtan attacked Syangbo with a knife over an old dispute which led to Synagbo being severely injured. Acting on a tip-off, joint security personnel deployed from the Fuljor-based Area Police and Keshargunj-based Area Police Office nabbed Syangtan.
Severely injured Syangbo was initially receiving treatment at Lalbandi-based Model Hospital and was taken to Janakpur for further treatment but died on the way, said the police.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
