Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud said each individual feels self-esteem and glory in the national anthem.
At a launching of a book 'National Anthems of the World' organized by the Nepali Bangmaya Pratisthan yesterday, Minister Saud said as each country's national anthem represents the symbol of the nation, every individual feels self-dignity and glory.
"National anthem of each country symbolically reflects the time in which the nation was built", he said, adding, "The future course of the nation is also reflected in limited words".
As all nations are not built in the same way, he said, adding it is manifested in the national anthems.
Former Dean of the Nepal Academy Bairagi Kainla said a national anthem gives information as to how the nation was built. He added the publication of a book 'National Anthem of the World' has helped steer the world to the path of brotherhood.
He further noted that Nepal's national anthem has encouraged the people towards peace.
Commenting on the book, former foreign affairs secretary Madhuraman Acharya said the national anthem legitimized the country.
Pradeep Niraula translated the book 'National Anthems of the World' containing national anthems of 195 countries.
