Nepali Congress leader Dr Rajaram Karki passed away on Wednesday at the age of 66. The party's former central member and Bagmati Province Assembly former member Karki had been battling cancer for long and succumbed to illness at Bir Hospital on Wednesday evening, according to his son Dr Amit Singh Karki.
He, the resident of Neelkantha municipality of Dhading, is survived by his two spouses, four sons and a daughter.
Meanwhile, NC central President Sher Bahadur Deuba said he was saddened by the news about the untimely demise of Dr Karki. Extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, he wished for an eternal peace to the departed soul.
The mortal remains of Karki will be placed in the party central office, Sanepa from 9 to 11:0o am today for paying final respects to him, according to NC central office chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel.
