Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel today claimed that the incumbent government would complete its remaining term of full five years.
Stating that following the dissolution of the House of Representatives, they reached out to the court to save the constitution, and the court verdict prolonged the term of the parliament, he mentioned that the government must complete its remaining term to safeguard the constitutional document.
Ruling out any possibility for the government to go for early elections, he clarified that it would go for polls only after completing its full term. Going for early elections is against the constitution, he reasoned at a press conference at Geta Airport in Dhangadhi.
On MCC, he chose to remain mum on the project reasoning that he is at present no longer a parliamentarian as the parliament has the right to endorse it.
On dispute resolving NC General Convention, the leader viewed that there is no alternative to reviewing the results as there had occurred electoral frauds in the party general convention at the district level.
He also extended sorrow over the loss of lives and properties in recent flooding and landslides in Sudurpaschim Province and demanded relief immediately to the victims.
