The national flag carrier Nepal Airlines is going to fly directly from Bhairahawa to Hong Kong. Nepal Airlines, which is flying directly from Kathmandu to Hong Kong, is going to operate flights from Bhairahawa as well.
According to the corporation, it is going to expand the flights by connecting the world-famous Lumbini with Hong Kong by air with the aim of bringing in more tourists from there. The corporation has also planned to operate flights from Bhairahawa to New Delhi in India soon.
Ticket bookings will be opened for flights to both destinations within the next 15 days. There is also a plan to operate flights from Bhairahawa to destinations like Dubai and Doha.
The corporation is currently operating two flights a week from Kathmandu to Hong Kong. Similarly, there are two daily flights to New Delhi.
In addition to starting regular flights at Gautam Budh International Airport located in Bhairahawa, the corporation is flying between Bhairahawa-Malaysia and Malaysia-Bhairahawa-Kathmandu.
Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, while replying to the questions rose on the allocation topic related to the Ministry of Tourism in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, asserted that efforts are being made to operate Gautam Budha International Airport and Pokhara International Airport effectively.
