The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Tuesday confirmed the detection of 634 new cases of coronavirus infection. Out of which, 291 people have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in the antigen test. With this, the total positive COVID count has reached 149,585 (Antigen).
Likewise, the MoHP has recorded 1 death from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. The ministry on May 19, 2021, recorded 184 deaths, the highest daily number. As of Tuesday, the nationwide death toll from COVID has reached 11,994. Presently, there are 4221 active cases in Nepal.
Meanwhile, 417 patients of COVID-19 have recovered in the past 24 hours. As of Tuesday, a total of 979,774 people have recovered from the viral disease, the data released by the MoHP showed. Presently, the recovery rate stands at 98.4 percent while the fatality rate is 1.2 percent.
