New election schedule fixed in Tulsipur-17

The Election Commission has made public a new election schedule after the death of Labaru Chaudhary, the ward chairman candidate of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan Ward No. 17 of Dang. Chaudhary was the CPN-UML candidate.

According to the new election schedule, the time for nomination registration has been fixed for UML only from 10 am to 1 am on Wednesday.

According to Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan Election Officer Rameshwar Aryal, election symbols will be provided to the candidates till 5 pm on Thursday.

According to Election Officer Aryal, the silence period will start from 14th May.

"In the case of Tulsipur-17, the campaign will be open till midnight on 13th May and after that the silence period will start," said Aryal.

As the CPN-UML candidate has died, this rule will be applicable only in the case of UML.

Nomination registration and other programs will be held at the Office of the Returning Officer, Tulsipur.

According to sources, UML will recommend a new candidate on Wednesday on the recommendation of CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel. Tulsipur is the hometown of Pokharel.

According to sources, UML is likely to recommend the name of Chaudhary's youngest son Pradip Chaudhary as the new candidate for the post.
