The National Security Advisor of National Security Council Shanker Das Bairagi has asked the security bodies to devise new measures to combat crimes as the criminal activities are taking place differently.
At an interaction programme on National Security organized at the Nepal Police Headquarters, Bairagi said that the Nepal Police should work for the organization's capacity building and strengthening it by making technologically sound.
He also called for developing integrated information mechanism among the stakeholders and the national security should be made further effective through required coordination.
Also speaking at the event, Home Secretary Dinesh Bhattarai praised the role of Nepal Police played to maintain law and order amid limited resources.
Likewise, Inspector General of Nepal Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar said that Nepal Police has its crucial role and contribution in implementing laws in Nepal in regard to national security.
