A new variant of coronavirus has been detected in a youth who has returned from India recently.
The resident of Krishnapur Municipality-5 had returned from Karnataka, India two weeks ago.
According to Kanchanpur District Health Office's Covid-19 focal person, Siddharaj Bhatta, the person was detected with the new variant of the virus in the test carried out by the National Public Health Laboratory on Friday.
Meanwhile, the infected person has been placed in isolation at home.
Likewise, the Social Development Ministry of Sudurpashchim Province stated that two other persons have also been detected with the same variant in Doti and Dadeldhura.
