The newly-appointed ministers have urged cooperation from one and all including their ministries’ staff to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic.
Assuming his office on Friday, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Leelanath Shrestha vowed to put in place legal provisions necessary to enforce the fundamental rights.
Similarly, newly-reappointed Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhanubhakta Dhakal urged the staffers to formulate rescue and relief-centric policies and programmes in the tourism sector that is hit hard by the first and ongoing second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Minister Dhakal, on the occasion, signed the file that proposed Rs 1,000 to be given to the staff performing cremation for the deceased Covid-19 infected persons at Pashupati Aryaghat, according to Madhav Prasad Tiwari, press coordinator of the Minister.
Likewise, Minister for Forest and Environment Prem Bahadur Ale has instructed the line agencies to work towards the prevention and control of Covid-19.
After assuming his office at Singha Durbar on Friday, Minister Ale reaffirmed his commitment to making sure that there will not be any shortage of the firewood for cremation at Pashupati Aryaghat of the people succumbing to Covid-19.
He also directed all the staffers to comply with the health safety protocols against coronavirus infection.
