Police on Saturday night arrested nine persons involved in gambling offences from Pokhara Metropolitan City-5. They were arrested from Jit Bahadur Gurung's residence in Dharapani Marg.
One of the arrested has been identified as Jit Bahadur Gurung (30), a resident of Dhading district while the names of the other eight have not been disclosed.
Acting on a tip-off, Baidam-based Area Police Office personnel nabbed the gamblers. The police also seized Rs 23,165 and one deck of cards from their possession.
Further investigation into the case is underway, said the police.
