Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has demanded action against the culprits behind the beating of two doctors at Sancho Hospital in Hetauda on September 13.
The Association said that a state of terror has been created in the entire health sector as the culprits are yet to be arrested and brought to book even four days after the incident. It said the doctors were assaulted when they were treating a patient.
NMA also warned of waging a protest movement if action was not taken against the culprits. It has warned of closing all the health facilities, medical colleges, private hospitals and clinics, except the emergency services, throughout the country on Sunday.
The Association has also called on the government to make arrangements for delivering health services in a fear-free environment along with the provision of the Medical Security Force at health institutions across the country.
