Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that there will be no agreement without national consensus. During a meeting between the top leaders of the ruling coalition parties at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar today, he made it clear that he would not accept any agreement that would hurt the country.
Informing about the discussions between the top leaders, Chairman of the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal Upendra Yadav said that Prime Minister Deuba should not enter into any agreement without consensus. Prime Minister Deuba made the commitment during a public debate on the so-called State Partnership Program (SPP) with the United States.
During the meeting between CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and other top leaders, discussions were held on the ongoing budget in the parliament and passing of the budget, said Chairman Yadav.
