No one to be unemployed due to lack of funds

Dr. Kalyan Roka, executive vice-chairman of the Youth and Small Entrepreneurs Self-Employment Fund Secretariat, said that no one should be unemployed due to lack of funds. Speaking on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the fund, he said that no one would be unemployed due to lack of money. "If some people are unemployed due to lack of money, come to us. We make one thousand self-employed, ”he said. This is how we make those who go abroad self-employed. ”

Executive Vice President Dr. Roka said that it is not only because of money that we become entrepreneurs and self-employed. He said that self-employment should be created at the local level by making proper use of local resources. He said that the government is ready to provide loan to the students by requesting them to become self-employed by pledging their certificates. He emphasized the need to focus on import-oriented economy instead of export-oriented economy.

Executive Director of the Fund, Bishwa Mohan Adhikari, informed that the Fund has so far made 83,409 youths self-employed. He said that the fund has been providing unlimited easy loans to the unemployed youth and small entrepreneurs in the age group of 18 to 60 years who have not been able to use their skills, knowledge and talents due to lack of capital. According to him, the fund has been providing loans ranging from Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 3 million collectively.

The fund has so far invested is Rs. 11.98 billion. Similarly, Rs. 3.82 billion has been disbursed to 283,266 poor people. The fund has provided loans to unemployed youth and entrepreneurs in collaboration with 1,968 cooperatives, 26 banks and financial institutions.

Similarly, Rs. 153.33 million interest subsidy has been provided by the fund. According to the fund, 61,132 people have been insured for self-employment and 1,061 people have been insured. Similarly, Rs. 62.48 million 545 insurance compensation has been provided.

Executive Director Adhikari said that they are constantly working to create self-employment for the unemployed youth. He said that self-employment will be created by using the resources available at the local level. The fund, established in 2065 BS, now has regular self-employment programs, partnership-based partnership programs, Koshi Economic Corridor program, Bheri-Karnali Economic Corridor, Kathmandu Valley self-employment and Terai-Madhes self-employment programs.
