Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is going to distribute new notes for decades from August 19. Revati Nepal, executive director of NRB, informed that the new notes will be distributed from the Baluwatar office and provincial offices in the state from September 20.
Class A banks will also distribute new notes.
She informed that new notes have reached most of the banks. Some development banks and finance companies have also taken them.
NRB, which has been distributing new notes every decade, did not distribute new notes last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Executive Director Nepal, new notes will be distributed at the rate of Rs 18,500 per person.
