One arrested for posting misleading and offensive content in the name of PM

Nepal Police held a man for making fake Indian Aadhaar cards and income tax cards by misusing a photograph of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police arrested 49-year-old Sher Bahadur Rana of Debdaha Municipality in Rupandehi district, who was residing in Butwal City, for posting photoshopped images of the PM on social networking sites.

Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of the Bureau, Pashupati Kumar Raya, said that Rana was arrested for publishing and presenting misleading and offensive terminologies that are prohibited by law.

Accused Rana shall face the music on a charge of Electronic Transaction Ac, 2063 BS and he was arrested after taking approval from the Kathmandu District Court.
