Police arrested a youth on the charge of stealing a scooter in Birgunj Metropolitan City-1, Parsa district, on Thursday.
The arrestee has been identified as Pradeep Kumar Shah (22) of Birgunj-1.
Pradeep on Monday night had allegedly stolen the scooter (NA 23 PA 8271) belonging to Ranjit Shah of Chapkaiya in Birgunj Metropolis-2, According to Parsa District Police Office (DPO). The scooter was parked in Pragatinagar, police informed.
According to police, Pradeep had stolen the scooter by breaking the handle lock. The scooter was kept hidden in Khusani Shah's residence in Birgunj Metropolis-25.
Meanwhile, the arrestee has been charged with theft and further investigation into the case is underway, informed the DPO.
