Police have recently arrested a man in possession of arms and ammunition in Madhyabindu Municipality-10 of Nawalpur district.
The arrestee has been identified as Dal Bahadur Thapa (42) of Pokharital in Madhyabindu.
A team of police personnel carrying out a routine security check on the road at Andheri Khhola intercepted Thapa, who was riding on a motorcycle (Lu28 Pa 5445). The security personnel arrested him after they seized a muzzleloader gun 18 lead bullets, 54 grams of explosives and 16 pieces of firecrackers from his possession.
Police also impounded the motorcycle.
Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
