A person has died in an accident at Kuchaini section of the East-West Highway in Kailali today. The deceased has been identified as Savita Kandel, 30, of Lamkichuha Municipality-1.
A tractor heading east and a scooter coming from the opposite direction collided head-on. The scooter driver Kandel died on the spot in the accident, according to the District Police Office.
Jamuna Singh of Lamkichuha Municipality was injured in the accident. The injured is undergoing treatment in Dhangadhi. Police have taken the driver under control along with the tractor.
