One dies due to black fungus in Kailali

The number of people being infected with the black fungus disease is on the rise in Nepal. There has been another incident of a person dying of the black fungus in Kailali. The 65-year-old man was being treated at the Seti Provincial Hospital.

The man who was from Bardagoriya-6, Tulsipur in Kailali was admitted to the hospital on May 31 and passed away this morning.

The Ministry of Health and Population has urged everyone to be aware that the black fungus disease has been affecting people who have been infected with the COVID-19. Health experts have also warned that though the black fungus infection is quite rare it is pretty fatal. They have advised people to be careful and visit the nearest health facility if they have any doubts.

However, unlike the coronavirus infection, the black fungus is not a contgaious disease and does not spread from one person to the other.
