One died and 11 others were injured in a bus accident in Saptari district today. A 55-year-old man was killed and his identity could not be ascertained when a passenger bus (Na 5 Kha 1898) met with an accident between Koshi Barrage and Kankalini Temple on the East-West Highway of Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-1, said Armed Police Inspector Kisman Tamang.
The bus heading to Katari from Biratnagar fell 20 meters from the road uncontrollably. Among the injured, Man Bahadur Tamang, 70, of Katari-3, Udaipur and his wife Bishnukumari Tamang, 69, have been shifted to Biratnagar as their condition is critical. Saptari police said that they were searching for the bus driver as he was absconding.
