Only urgent cases will be heard in the Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has reinstated the House of Representatives.

The Supreme Court is set to hear only urgent cases from today due to the increasing incidence of the virus. The full court sitting on Tuesday (full court) had decided to cut its service from Wednesday as Corona was growing.

According to a press release issued by Supreme Court Spokesperson Baburam Dahal, only writ petitions related to habeas corpus and Covid epidemic, urgent nature of life and fundamental rights of public health and public importance will be heard regularly. It has been decided to cut the service till January 3.

During that period, cases related to withdrawal, settlement and conciliation will be conducted regularly, and petitions and reports of the detainees will be heard according to the country's criminal procedure. Similarly, the cases of detainees will be heard, appeals will be heard and appeals will be heard and appeals will be heard without orders to withdraw the registered candidates from the government.

The meeting has decided to make arrangements for the High and District Courts and other tribunals to take action based on the assessment of the local situation and the risk situation and the contagious situation.
